Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. Her most prominent part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
